Rear Admiral Jamila Sadiq Malafa (rtd) has thanked ex President Muhammadu Buhari for honouring her with the Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR).
The Navy General was among the 77 Nigerians who were given the national honour for the services they rendered to the nation.
She bagged the award along with prominent Nigerians who President Muhammadu Buhari at the exit of his regime, consider worthy to be so honoured.
The Adamawa-born Rear Admiral is one of the Northern Women who made trail and blazing records while serving in the Nigerian Navy.
Jamila from Gombi Local Government, Hona by tribe, who recently retired, started her career with the Navy as a Nurse and later on, changed cadre to law.
While thanking President Muhammadu Buhari for considering her worthy of the national honour, she promised to give her support whenever she is called upon for the development of the nation.
