Nigerian Bags Market Bubbles As Lelook Overhauls Multi-million Naira Skills Centre

Lelook Bags Academy, a training hub for leading bag-making industry in Nigeria, today,  said that  it will continue to prioritise standards and training of young people in a bid to give them head start in life skills development through bag making techniques.
The Founder, Chief Executive Officer of Lelook Bags Academy, Chief (Mrs.) Chinwe Ezenwa said when she played host to the Executive and members of Women of Worth, who had paid a facility visit to the academy complex in Abuja that the initiative was birthed by passion and determination to restore the dignity of survivors of gender based violence in the country. 
She stressed that the entrepreneurial skills acquisition has not only provided a global platform for these young Nigerians, to thrive but also empowered then to speak for themselves and challenge forces that tend to violate their rights and other women around the world. 
According to Mrs. Ezenwa, “fashion remain integral parts of Africans, women dress-sense may be appealing without a bags to match, this made it extremely important that we satisfy our customers, thus making bags that look more Africans and meeting the needs of these customers. Following extensive market research, we centred our program around bag making skills, whereby students are taught how to construct bags of different styles and shapes. 
“Students of the Academy will also learn how to make patterns, cut, skive and sewing, applying the traditional rules of craftsmanship. We are leaders in the Nigerian bag market and we produce high-quality bags from small accessories such as clutches and pouches to handbags.” Ezenwa said. 
THE Founder, Lelook Bags Academy affirmed that the growth mindset of the institute is always a driving force to continue introducing products that meet the needs of our consumers, ranging from school bags, travelling bags, handbags, lunch bag, Backpacks and duffel bags, messenger and satchel bags, laptop bag, bucket bag, bowler bag, beach bag among others. 
Addressing the students, Instructors and Staff of the Institute, the former Minister of Women  Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen said Nigerians are creative and believe the present administration will continue to identify brilliance and reward excellence in the area of production. 
Tallen pointed out that made in Nigeria goods are of immense benefits to both the citizens and governments, adding that, though, standardisation is key. 
Her words, “As manufacturers, we must conduct regular service quality audits of our products, this is one of the most effective ways to ensure that products meet the needs and expectations of the customers. 
Commending the vision of Lelook Bags Academy, Dame Tallen pointed out that government must always ensure that products are customer-focused and quality-driven, saying the Institute having identified women and Girl empowerment as a matter of success, will end the cycle of violence and violation of human rights and gender inequality through its programme. 
She opined that well meaning Nigerians and other stakeholders should continue to work towards a Nigeria where women and girls can live in freedom and equality, “at Lelook Bags Academy, beneficiaries have learnt the art of bag-making, basic marketing skills using information technology, Knowledge on accounting and bookkeeping as well as the right information on protecting their rights and amplifying their voices to end violence against women and girls. 
Earlier, the National Coordinator, Women of Worth, Dr. Betty Olutunde applauded the founder of Lelook Bags Academy and other partners for sustaining the initiative, adding that her organisation, (Women of Worth), will always associate with the vibrant ideals and ensure that they evangelise the vision of the Institute in an efforts to populate the academy with trainees.
