The Delta South Senatorial Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan on Tuesday inspected the Warri Township Stadium ahead of President Muhammadu Buahri visit to Delta State for the flagging of the APC Campaign Organization, AUTHENTIC News Daily has gathered.
The former Delta State Governor was at the stadium early Tuesday morning for the inspection.
Dr. Uduaghan spoke shortly after the inspection said the Warri Township Stadium will be renovated while the Warri Wolves will be revived if President Muhammadu Buhari is reelected for a second term in Office.
Dr. Uduaghan added that the youths in the area will be engaged in local security to protect the facilities at the Stadium.
While noting that the Stadium will be hosting the President on Thursday,Dr. Uduaghan asked the people to mobilize in support of the President.
Only recently, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Delta State held its Governorship Campaign rally at the multi-billion naira Stadium whose facilities is currently in bad shapes a day after a popular church in Warri cleaned the stadium for their crusade.
The FIFA World Cup Under 17 slated to take place at the Stadium was cancelled due to poor facilities, shoddy and substandard jobs.
Chief James Onanefe Ibori, former Governor of Delta State began the construction works at the Warri Township Stadium but it was completed by Dr. Uduaghan under his tenure as governor.
The presence of Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa in Delta State has not been felt in the Warri Township Stadium since Dr. Uduaghan left Office. In fact, his concentration is at the Asaba Stadium which also collapsed during an event last year.
AUTHENTIC News Daily learnt that President Muhammadu Buhari visit has been shifted to Thursday after several advertorials had been placed in some national dailies that the event was to take take place on Wednesday.
