A Germany based non governmental organisation, HASENE International Foundation has put smiles on faces of the less privileged across two states in Nigeria by providing 400 cows worth forty million Naira  for the Eid el-Kabir festivity.

During one of the presentations in Kaduna, host of the foundation in Nigeria, Shiekh Abdul Ahad Nyas disclosed to AUTHENTIC News Daily that such donations of beaf for Sallah by the foundation has been  going on for three years consecutively in the country.

He said their gesture was targeted at those who could not afford to buy rams for the sacrifice, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.

“HASENE Germany donated  400 cows to the less privileged who don’t have the financial power to slaughter rams in  Nigeria on the Sallah Day. We  want to see  people happy. We know if people are happy, also God will make us happy,” he explained.

Further explaining, he said that  2,100 people  benefited in Kaduna, where each cow was  shared to 25 people.

He said that in Zaria 100 cows were  shared, while Dawakin Tofa and Rano, both in Kano got 150 and 50 cows respectively.

“The peoples who brought the donation are HASENE Germany. These four hundred cows that you see each one is a contribution for individual peoples that give their contribution each one of them said to share his one to twenty people. But twenty  will not go round so we decided to share each one to 25 people so that will go all round the contributors who donated this cow there have being doing it for the third year and some of them are small children under 4 to 8 years and doing contribution.

Speaking on the importance of the slaughtering of rams during the Eid el-Kabir, he said it was a religious obligation to anyone who could afford it.

“The reason why we slaughter rams is because we want to go  closer to  God.  For the Eid El Adha you need ram, because God said what you need for you try and remove something from what you have and give out to the people who don’t have because of the fear of God and the promise of paradise.”

He explained that the first year, it was  Birnin Kebbi and Sokoto that benefited from HASENE’s gestures, while the second one was done in Kano.

On why Kano state still benefited from this year’s donations, he said that it was as a result of late approval from the Kaduna State Government.

“The reason why we split this year’s donation meant for Kaduna and Zaria  to Kano was because we didn’t get approval on time from Kaduna State Government. Anywhere  I go, if I tell people I am from the HASENE Foundation, I will  bring two hundred cows for donation, people are usually surprised, asking me from where are you going to get them. I say okay, you will see it. Because of that, the Governor heard of it and  called me and I went to see him.

“The governor said that for 22 years you have been in Kaduna I don’t know you and he gave approval because the group wanted the  approval letter from the state government before bringing the cows because we did not receive the later on time that is why we took two hundred to Kano State. I was not happy  taking some to Kano. Because I am living in Kaduna,  I wanted  Kaduna to be benefit from the 400 cows,” he said.

Also speaking, HASENE Group Leader, Dr. Abdulrahim Kutlucon explained that four of them who are Turks, were nominated  to come  to Nigeria and celebrate the Eid el Adha.

“we are happy we came here. We prayed together this morning with Muslim Ummah here in Nigeria and slaughtering cows to share to the people who are in need.

“In Europe we have so many things. Everything is a enough; food and drinks. We know that in Africa there are so many people who need everything. The last days we gave little children sweet and they were so happy,” he said, while assuring that next year, more assistance would be brought in.

He explained that  humanitarian foundations are  important because most political leaders and government here are not taking care of their people.

The people who  benefited from this year’s Sallah meat are 2,200 from Kaduna, 2,100 in Zaria, 2,500 in Kano and 1,000 in Rano.

AUTHENTIC News Daily recalls that HASENE, a worldwide organisation has been carrying out its humanitarian obligations not only in Africa, but its presence can also be found in South America and  Asia, as well as over 100 other countries the world over, including Nigeria.
